Job Description

In the Tresco Lighting Division of Rev-A-Shelf:

  • Responsible for providing lighting design services to clients in the form of basic lighting design and calculations, lighting control design and layout.  Prior experience is a plus but not required.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of a broad range of product offerings from lighting fixtures to controls.
  • Read specifications and architectural drawings and provide take-offs of lighting and lighting controls for estimating purposes.
  • Create bills of material, one-line schematics, electrical drawings, etc… using Adobe Illustrator in support of the lighting design.
  • Communicate with specifiers, contractors, distributors or anyone who requires information on the products Tresco offers.
  • Troubleshoot inquiries and work with factory representatives to ensure resolution of problems and guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in training sessions as needed
  • Receive and respond to incoming calls from customers regarding product specifications, issues/concerns, and general installation questions.
  • Process replacement orders to remedy field issues or sample orders for outside reps
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.  Adobe Suite of products  (i.e. Illustrator) is a plus but not required.
  • Must be able to handle customer concernsand to maintain a positive attitude with customers at all times
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to learn item numbers and understand technical specifications of Tresco Lighting products
  • Must be organized and able to stay on top of customer requests, returns, replacement shipments, samples and follow-up when required.
  • Preferred 2 year technical degree or equivalent experience
