Job Description

The role of this individual will be to operate the laser machine when etching and cutting panels. This role includes but is not limited to the below.

  • Read and interpret basic technical drawings/documents

  • Manipulate CAD drawings based on output of machine

  • Correctly use and read measuring tools such as, but not limited to, Calipers, tape measure, etc

  • Create basic CAD drawings based on communications from management

  • Use good spatial reasoning skills to aid in developing a correct machine routine

  • Create a repeatable setup for batch machine operations

  • Utilize strong problem solving skills to fix problems with the machine and use communication skills to describe the issue to maintenance or engineering if unable to solve on your own.

  • Maintain Quality standards of Company product and processes

  • Demonstrate a safety-driven mindset in all aspects of the job

  • Read and follow setup sheets and work schedules

  • Recommend continuous process improvements

  • Load material on the machine

  • Assigned other duties as needed

Job Requirements

  • Technical Secondary Education credits required or High School Diploma/GED plus 5+ years’ experience in related field

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a related field

  • Computer Skills
    • Microsoft Office (including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook)

    • Ability to navigate Windows Explorer and network drives

    • Knowledge of CAD systems

    • Ability to create and manipulate CAD drawings

  • Technical Skills
    • Previous experience with equipment that programs from Cartesian coordinates (X, Y, Z).  CNC router experience is a plus.

    • Good spatial reasoning skills to aid in developing a correct machine routine

    • Ability to create a repeatable setup for batch machine operations

  • Strong organization and communication skills
