Job Description

  • Ensure hoppers and boxes on the production floor have adequate material and are marked and labeled properly
  • Ensure all rejects on the production line are removed and properly ground.
  • Ensure all color and material changes are done correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Receive material and confirm proper silo is being used for unloading bulk material.
  • Store all material in approved manner and proper location.
  • Installs and removes molds as instructed, ensuring the proper handling and storage of molds.
  • Prepare machines for the startup, part set-up sheets.
  • Perform other duties as directed by Management.
  • Maintain a neat, clean and orderly work area, which includes, but is not limited to, mold storage or equipment areas

Compensation is based on experience. Hiring for entry-level to experienced.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to read/understand the Production Schedule. Mattec / Planstar
  • Understand and apply material labeling requirements for bins, boxes, and machines.
  • Understand and safely operate functions of material handling equipment: loaders, dryers, color machines, etc.
  • Understand and apply proper cleaning steps to properly support changeovers, as required.
  • Maintain fork truck certification. Understand the proper use of a fork truck boom and crane.
  • Understand safeties on molds, machines, auxiliary equipment, and all lockout/tag-out procedures.
  • Understand the proper requirements for knock out (KO) rods, nozzle tips, eye bolts, torque mod safeties, etc.
  • Understand proper clamping and watering mold process.
  • Must understand the Mold Book Process.
  • Understand basic End of Run (EOR) and Preventative Maintenance (PM) processes.
  • Understand the basic function of the molds, cores sequence, hot runner systems ejectors, etc.
  • Understand the robot and end of arm tool (EOAT) set up.
  • Physical strength to lift 50-70 pounds and be able to climb, push, pull, bend and stand with or without accommodation.
